Dr. Ingrid Anderson
BIOGRAPHY
Ingrid Anderson, PT, DPT, OCS, received her DPT from Georgia State University in 2010. During her doctoral studies, she developed a passion for pain sciences and manual therapy. She completed the Mercer Orthopaedic Residency program in 2011 where she specialized in neurodynamics and myofascial trigger point therapy, and received her Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2012. Prior to her education and training in physical therapy, Dr. Anderson worked in business operations for 10 years.
A native Atlantan, Dr. Anderson knew she wanted to start a private practice in an in-town neighborhood, and she opened Intown Physical Therapy in the Old Fourth Ward in 2013.
In addition to her duties at Intown PT, she has served as an adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Mercer University and has held numerous volunteer positions with state and national PT organizations. She serves as a reviewer for several publications and helped author a chapter in the Travell, Simons and Simons’ Trigger Point Manual.
When not working, Dr. Anderson enjoys weight lifting, gardening and RV-ing, but mostly you can find her watching her boys on the stage or the track!
