How can I do physical therapy remotely?
The most important part of physical therapy is talking. When your physical therapist works with you, especially for the first time, they perform a subjective history. We ask and listen to ascertain important details including how your injury or issue began, specifics about your pain, as well as which activities are challenging.
With this information, before we watch you move, we often have a pretty good idea of what is going on with your body. When combined with assessing various movements, we have an excellent starting point for your treatment.
All our therapists are trained manual therapists, meaning we like to work with you with our hands, performing dry needling and other manual treatments. However, the most important part of your PT treatment is what you do on your own. This may include exercises, activity modifications (at work, home or exercising) or workspace changes.
All this can be done via telehealth on a HIPAA-compliant Zoom meeting.
